Fascinatingly enough, hundreds in my network didn't see the change.
So here I am on Bay St. and those in my established team who don't know each other have run out of time.
As a charity there was chance we might work together, as a business professional I will be turning to them, referring business to them and as my best contacts you all should know each other - that's what I owe you.
So! What better way to start the year off right than to meet and introduce you to each other.
What better place than my new den of vice - business book heaven!!
Did anyone KNOW Canada's largest business bookstore lives on Bay St?
( how is this a surprise I don't know, what a dork )

PPs. Bay St. isn't SO bad. Here's a Toronto video I'm in love with right now. If you look closely at 2:29 you can see me turn on the lights in my new office!

I haven't attended a gathering in a book store that wasn’t a book signing. Seeing paper books will feel a tad old fashioned. Whenever possible, I get ebooks and read on my smartphone. I hope there won't be a guard telling us to leave ebook readers at the door :)
ReplyDeletePS I haven't been to a music store in years (not sure if there are any left).
Sorry not to be able to make this one Paul, I will be in Hawaii! However, do count me in on future events. And if they don’t have my book Winning Body Language in the store then give ‘em hell from me! Looking forward to your contribution to my next book…
ReplyDeleteThis isn't helping my current "why I miss Toronto" bug...
ReplyDeleteAnyone who can make this event would be at a major loss to miss it.
Promod - You are a champion of great books, feel free to buy one as a gift for someone you're mentoring!
ReplyDeleteMark - Not only did I see a copy last time I was there, I sold it!! I'm looking forward to contributing to the next one, thanks for the opportunity. For those who haven't read Mark's best selling book http://bit.ly/h3tczl
Christina, we miss you in Toronto too! A lot of folks are still away on vacation - Have a good dozen+ so far. Early birds will get more business from my network, face to face meetings always help!
